This has been an interesting custom metal fabrication project - this client’s UTV was just a few inches too tall to comfortably fit in his trailer. I chopped three inches from the rear loop, reinforced the weld point with 11gauge DOM tube steel, MIG welded, and ground the welds flush. I’ll be doing the same to a pair of rear supports, then dropping the ride height about 2 inches with a simple shock adjustment. When all is said and done, this will be a low-riding speed machine, ready to take mudding or to the street!
